One of the biggest problems, vaginal dryness, is a common yet uncomfortable problem. One of the vital hormones for vagina health ensures the elasticity of your vaginal tissues, the production of natural lubricants and protection against infection. When your hormone levels decline, the vaginal lining becomes thinner and your ability to produce lubrication becomes less efficient. All these can contribute to the pain and discomfort you experience.

Now I'm sure you'll agree... it's good to finally know exactly WHY you're suffering.

But a fast, safe, effective solution would be even better, right?

I am pretty sure it is a cut, it’s right in the middle of the lower part of my ‘lips’.. My vagina is very dry also(which is probably from shaving). I’ve tried looking at it closely, but it’s very sensitive, swollen, and red. I’m pretty sure it’s a cut, but like I said I can’t look at it very closely, the pain is extreme,to the point where it’s very painful to even walk.
I guess a detail I should add is that yes, I have had sex recently, but it was dry, which I think caused the irritation/cut.
What can help this, I was thinking Vagisil but I have never used it so I’m not sure…
I’m kind of worried, should I get it checked out? I’m positive it’s not an STD or anything like that.. but could a cut need medical attention?

Whatever you do, DO NOT, i repeat Do not, put any kind of Neosporin or Bacitracin down there. it will cause a massive yeast infection. The best bet is to use a little bit of Vaseline (petroleum jelly) to keep it moist and lessen irritation. And if it still hurts and is bothering you in a few days see a doc for some antibiotics just in case it got infected. And always make sure your well lubricated before any kind of penetration either with lube like astro glide or KY or by taking time and doing some more foreplay.

Well what is best is to take a bath in Epsom salts. This has happened to me before. The salts help me speed up the healing. It might get a little itchy but that’s good as it means the cut is healing.
If you’re dry like that in the future use lubrication when having intercourse. Otherwise this will happen again
