One of the biggest problems, vaginal dryness, is a common yet uncomfortable problem. One of the vital hormones for vagina health ensures the elasticity of your vaginal tissues, the production of natural lubricants and protection against infection. When your hormone levels decline, the vaginal lining becomes thinner and your ability to produce lubrication becomes less efficient. All these can contribute to the pain and discomfort you experience.

Now I'm sure you'll agree... it's good to finally know exactly WHY you're suffering.

Ok this is kind of a weird question but recently my vagina has been very dry the only time its "wet" is when I get excited or something. I also have a thick white discharge no itching so I don’t know if I can rule out a yeast infection and it has no smell what so ever. What could it be? Btw I’m 18 if that helps…. Idk.

    Yeast Infection.

  2. michelle f says:

Sounds like the beginning of a yeast infection. Eat yogurt everyday to hold it at bay.

  3. lizzie says:

You can have a yeast infection without the itch. You should probably see the gyno to see if it’s bacterial or yeast. Either way, it can be cleared up very easily with a pill and some cream.
Try drinking more water…sounds like you may be dehydrated.

  5. AMBER D says:

Normal discharge may appear clear, cloudy white, and/or yellowish when dry on clothing. It may also contain white flecks and at times may be thin and stringy. Changes in normal discharge can occur for many reasons, including menstrual cycle, emotional stressors, nutritional status, pregnancy, usage of medications – including birth control pills, and sexual arousal.

A telltale sign of infection is totally the opposite of what you state, excessive wetness has to be monitored for possible infection.

The dryness may be due to stress or hormonal imbalances, or the pill, but not to an infection.
